History Mystery Program Available Free to Educators
Historic Preservation Blog from PreservationDirectory.com -

As the school year fast approaches, Old North is excited to offer its History Mystery program free to teachers, after-school programs, and home-schooling parents.

“Old North, the Revolution, and a History Mystery” is a three-part video program filmed onsite at Old North Church designed for upper elementary school students. The series explores the events leading up to the Battles of Lexington and Concord through the lens of Old North, Paul Revere’s ride, and compelling evidence for who held the lanterns. Students learn new vocabulary, the concept of context, and how to recognize bias in historical sources as they play detective. Educators are provided with a host of supplementary activities to reinforce the lessons, including trivia questions, word searches, and a fun digital game.

If you know any teachers who might be interested in our History Mystery program, please send them to our website
