  • Support Section 106, NEPA and other applicable federal, state, and local historic preservation reviews for public and private sector clients
  • Tasks will include identifying and evaluating historic properties, assessing project-related impacts, and technical writing.
  • Prepare historic tax credit applications to state and federal review agencies.
  • Work with the Cultural Resources senior staff in scoping, managing, and tracking projects and proposals and in marketing group services within and outside VHB.

  • Knowledge of the history and architectural history of New England
  • Ability to apply the National Register criteria for eligibility to evaluate historic integrity
  • An understanding of the application of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
  • Fluency in reading architectural drawings a plus
  • Experience in consulting a plus, but not required
  • The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, have a professional demeanor and strong organizational skills
  • possess the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidate should be able to work in a team environment with a variety of project members and manage tasks as delegated by a project lead
