Heritage Restoration, Inc. performs work on old and historic buildings exclusively, many having local, state, and national significance in Rhode Island and South Eastern Massachusetts. Heritage is NOT a gut rehab or large project general contractor, with jobs ranging from small repairs to larger comprehensive residential projects, as well as occasional institutional buildings. Projects can vary in size from a few hours to a few months.
Heritage Restoration, Inc seeks a Project Manager with a background as a skilled tradesperson to take the lead in facilitating and assisting in the execution of multiple projects large and small. The position will be required to refine projects with new clients, subs and staff, while overseeing progress and needs for ongoing field projects with Site Supervisors and Field Technicians.
Applicants must be aware of historic preservation principals and have a keen sense as to how to manipulate buildings. The Project Manager position requires light office duties (resisting a lot of computer work), focusing on good communication towards planning projects for others to complete, including nuances of construction for meaningful conversations with other trades.
Experience can be in traditional or modern carpentry, with an emphasis on the ability to troubleshoot conditions, projects, and people with everything from roofing, flashing, siding, trim, window restoration, doors, millwork, all types of framing as well as other aspects associated with manipulating old and historic structures.
The job is hourly and we’re offering $28-35 an hour depending on experience.
