The Kansas SHPO is hiring a new position to assist with survey and inventory
programs, coordinate the historic markers program, and provide general outreach
services to the public about SHPO programs. The employee will assist with
review of submitted inventory forms and survey reports, help guide the
development of historic context statements, and respond to requests for general
information about SHPO programs from the public. As an experienced
architectural historian/historian, this person will be one of the staff experts
on architectural history/history.
The employee is expected to provide excellent
customer service in dealing with property owners, government officials,
developers, consultants, preservationists, and others.
This position is unclassified
with a wage at Grade 27/Step 4 ($20.13/hr) starting.
