2008 DeLand, FL, Holiday Tour of Historic Homes

Biannual tour of historic homes in Old DeLand, sponsored by the West Volusia Historical Society. This year's tour features eight restored homes, never before open to the public, located in the Northwest DeLand Residential National Historic District within easy walking distance of each other. The tour runs from 1:00 to 6:00 pm each day and tickets, at $12 each in advance ($15 at door) are good for both days. Additional events include a lecture/discussion on Tiffany glass at 11 a.m. Dec. 5 in St. Barnabas Episcopal Church sanctuary (the church has several Tiffany windows); and an Architectural Walking Tour fo Old DeLand with architect Hernando Gomez at 9 a.m. Separate tickets, at $5.00 for the lecture and $10.00 for the walking tour, are required. A Tour of Homes package, at $20.00, covers the Home Tour, lecture and walking tour. |
