Georgia Trust Annual Meeting & Ramble

This year's Annual Meeting & Ramble will be held in Brunswick and The Golden Isles May 18-20, 2007. Held in a different city each year, the event includes tours through the host city and cocktail and dinner events, as well as an Annual Meeting and Preservation Awards. During the Saturday morning Annual Meeting, the Trust updates members on preservation accomplishments in Georgia and provides an overview of the history of the host city. The morning also includes the Trust's annual business meeting as well as the annual Preservation Awards. Two scholarships are presented to students in areas relating to historic preservation, in addition to annual awards in recognition of outstanding projects and individuals in the field of historic preservation.
Awards & Fellowships For more than 20 years the Trust has recognized preservation projects and individuals in the state who have made significant contributions to the field of historic preservation through its Preservation Awards, awarded at its Annual Meeting. The event also includes the presentation of two scholarships in areas relating to preservation. In addition, sales from the book J. Neel Reid, Architect by William R. Mitchell, Jr., help fund the J. Neel Reid Prize, a fellowship awarded annually to an emerging architect with a connection to Georgia. |
