INDIANAPOLIS – The President Benjamin Harrison Home will hold a volunteer fair at the Presidential mansion at 1230 North Delaware Street on Sunday, October 5 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for people who want to be part of activities like theatrical productions and a croquet competition, or share in the excitement of a remarkably rich collection of historical artifacts, or experience shivers of pride at a naturalization ceremony of 100 brand-new American citizens.
The Harrison Home staff will tour volunteer fair attendees through the mansion and introduce them to the variety of volunteer opportunities available year-around. Those opportunities include enacting historic characters, serving as docents, education and research assistants, archival/curatorial assistants, special events planners, and gardeners.
