People + Places- Altadena: After the Fire and Moving Forward

March 12, 2025

We invite you to join us for our virtual event, People + Places- Altadena: After the Fire and Moving Forward. The devastating Eaton Fire has deeply impacted Altadena—disrupting beloved homes, historic neighborhoods, legacy businesses, and cherished community landmarks.

In response, local groups, community partners, and cultural advocates are coming together to offer how best to move forward. We’ll explore innovative ideas and practical strategies, including a new historic mapping tool the Conservancy has been working on with Architectural Resources Group to chart the full impacts of the fire.
We’ll hear from experts and community leaders who are leading the charge in rebuilding and preserving Altadena’s heritage.

Panelists:
- Hans Allhoff, Altadena Heritage
- Peter Hansen, Geospatial Systems Consultant, Farallon Geographics
- Veronica Jones, Altadena Historical Society
- Morgan Quirk, Architectural Resources Group
- R. Steven Lewis, FAIA NOMA Council - former NOMA National President and current member of the SoCal NOMA Altadena Rebuild Coalition
- Pete Mauro, Altadena Rising

Moderator:
- Adrian Scott Fine, Los Angeles Conservancy

We hope you’ll join us in this important conversation about how Altadena can rebuild with care, preserving its history and community.
