Society of Architectural Historians Annual Meeting

April 1-5, 2009

The Society of Architectural Historians is looking forward to hosting the 62nd Annual meeting April 1-5, 2009 in beautiful Pasadena, California. During each of our three visits to begin the planning for this meeting we walked away each time with the feeling that Pasadena truly is a City that feels like a Village.

The teamwork to bring this meeting together is crucial to the success of the meeting for our valued members who will be attending. From the SAH Board that includes the General Chair and 1st Vice President Dianne Harris which focuses on the intellectual content and overseeing the 25 Paper Session with the presentation of 125+ papers. The Local Committee led by Joe Catalano as the Local Chair and Bob Winter our honorary Chair to bring you the many wonderful tours during the meeting week, an informational Historic Preservation Colloquium that will focus on the successes of preservation in Pasadena and the wonderful venues like the Civic Auditorium where we will hold our Awards reception and ceremony on Thursday night. We will keep the Closing Night venue a surprise for now. The last group of the team is the SAH Staff who look after the logistics, communications and details that pull it all together to make for a rewarding experience. Thank you to everyone who help make this meeting a success due to their dedication.

Be sure to visit the SAH website often for updates regarding the meeting. We will be sending the brochures out in early January and general registration will be open in early January as well (if you are a speaker or session chair, click the link at the bottom of this page to register now).  As we develop further our online technology to provide registration for the meeting and a link for instant hotel confirmation for you within our SAH room blocks at the three hotels. The majority of the meeting content will be held at the new Pasadena Conference Center this year. Allowing SAH to be in the central downtown area enabling our members access to Pasadena's many offerings.

We look forward to seeing all of you in Pasadena.

Registration Form is available online at https://asoft112.securesites.net/secure/sah/index.php?src=forms&ref=2009+Annual+Meeting+Reg_copy&id=2009+Annual+Meeting+Reg_copy for SPEAKERS & SESSION CHAIRS ONLY

The hotel rate is $169 plus 15% tax.
