“Make Your Town a Hot Spot” - City Club Luncheon

Jeanne Mozier’s efforts in community building through promoting the arts, tourism and local economic development have led Berkeley Springs to many awards as a model small town in the new economy. She has been honored for her work including a national award as a Classic Woman in 2006 and WV Woman of the Year in Business in 2008. Jeanne and her husband, Jack Soronen, own and operate the vintage Star Theatre in Berkeley Springs. An award-winning writer of fiction and non-fiction, Jeanne is the author of the definitive "Way Out in West Virginia" guide to the state's oddities -- now in its third edition -- as well as "Wonders of West Virginia".
Jeanne sits on several major Morgan County boards including the Economic Development Authority and Chamber of Commerce. She is President of the Panhandle-wide, Washington Heritage Trail Board of Trustees and has been appointed by three governors to represent the Eastern Panhandle on the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.Jeanne’s will talk about the game, “Make Your Town a Hot Spot” which will be presented at the Create WV Conference.
