Introduction to the History of American Interiors: 1625-1830
January 12 - March 16, 2009 |
This course examines the organization of interior space, as well as the stylistic changes and movements in the decorative arts. In addition, participants will study the historic and social context of the interiors and explore themes such as the expression of status, the effects of technological and economic change, and the activities and roles of the members of the household.
