Materials and Techniques of Restoration and Rehabilitation
January 13 - March 17, 2009 |
This course provides an overview of different materials commonly used in this region and the techniques for their repair. Materials examined include: masonry (stone, brick, concrete, terra cotta, mortar), wood, finishes, plaster, and metals. Students will learn techniques used to read historic evidence in buildings, and will have an introduction to rehabilitation codes.
