American Architectural History
January 15 - March 19, 2009 |
An introduction to buildings, landscapes and other built artifacts constructed between 1608 and the present. This course takes a multi-disciplinary approach to material culture drawing upon art history, social history, cultural studies and the development of building technology. Special attention is paid to examples of urban and rural building types from New Jersey and the Delaware and Hudson Valley regions. (Thursday evenings: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.) |
