Pittock Mansion is the place to get in the spirit of the season. Thousands of twinkling lights, holiday garlands and 25 Christmas trees transform the historic mansion into a holiday wonderland.
This year, the theme is "Twas the Night Before Christmas...in Oregon."
Each of the 23 rooms in the mansion will be decorated to reflect a verse from the popular 1823 poem, including stockings hung by the chimney with care and a miniature sleigh with eight tiny reindeer.
The home was decorated by volunteers from community organizations such as the Columbia River Sewing Guild and the Oregon Heritage School of Design.
Pittock Mansion will be decorated for the holidays through December 31, 2008.
The hours are noon to 4pm (closed Christmas day).
Tickets are $7 adults, $6 ages 65 and older, $4 agest 6-18, free for ages 5 and under and can be purchased at the door.
