View the Magic City through the lens of one of Birmingham’s first commercial photographer, O.V. Hunt. In collaboration with the Birmingham Public Library Archives Department, this exhibition features approximately 30 photographs taken by O.V. Hunt during the early 1900s that provide documentation of life and work in the early Magic City. These fascinating photographs include images of streetscapes, trains and street cars, the construction of downtown buildings, leisure activities such as swimming parties at Eastlake Park, industrial development, and images of individuals, especially the working people, among others. |
