An Evening Lecture: The Life of a Harmonist Woman
October 21, 2009 |
While their voices were often silenced, women in the 19th century played a very important role in American society. The same was true in the Harmony Society. Emily Lapisardi, first-person historical interpreter, will discuss this subject through the character of Gertrude Rapp, granddaughter of Harmony Society leader George Rapp, and an astute business woman in her own right. Pre-registration is requested. Call (724) 266-4500 ext. 101. |
