Save Our History National Honors Contest

Each year, The History Channel honors teachers and students for their exceptional commitment to history education and historic preservation both in and out of the classroom.  This year The History Channel will honor one teacher and one student with a $5,000 cash prize, recognition on The History Channel, and an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. where they will be recognized as the Save Our History Teacher and Student of the Year at the Save Our History National Event in June of 2007. 

 Twenty-four teachers and twenty-four students will receive cash prizes of $500 and other prizes, including DVD’s and digital cameras.    Elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students are eligible to apply.  Guidelines, entry forms and rules are available online at www.saveourhistory.com.  Entries are due March 30th, 2007.
