Join us on March 15th to celebrate Andrew Jackson's 242nd birthday! Birthday activities beginning at noon include: children's games, walking tours, military demonstration, signing of "twenty dollar bills" by Andrew Jackson VI, and wagon tours. The traditional ceremony will take place at 2pm at Jackson's tomb followed by birthday cake in the café. Admission is half price all day. The site is open 9am-4:30pm (last tickets sold.)

If you are not able to join us during the day, meet us at gallery F at Scarritt Bennett for the closing reception of Unusual Sympathy from 4-7pm with a live vocal performance at 5pm. This delicately displayed exhibit is an installation of drawings, video, original songs, text and photography revolving around the Creek Indian boy, Lyncoya, orphaned on the battlefield and adopted by Andrew Jackson.
