See history come to life at the second annual L.A. Heritage Day, a free community festival with more than 60 local heritage groups. You'll find something for everyone, from a scavenger hunt to tours of historic buildings, from family activities to panel discussions on preservation. With more than 60 groups on site, you'll also have the chance to learn about an incredibly diverse range of local preservation organizations, museums, and historical societies.
Participating groups include the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Museum, African American Firefighter Museum, Art Deco Society of Los Angeles, Boyle Heights Historical Society, Canoga Park/Owensmouth Historical Society, Claremont Heritage, Culver City Historical Society, Echo Park Historical Society, Hancock Park/Windsor Square Historical Society, Historic Adamson House/Malibu Lagoon Museum, Jewish Genealogical Society of Los Angeles, Long Beach Heritage, Monterey Park City Historical Society, Pomona Heritage, San Fernando Valley Historical Society, Santa Monica Conservancy, Venice Historical Society, and West Adams Heritage Association.
