These programs are being directed to private collectors, small museums and historical societies without in-house conservation staff; and those who rely on collections managers, preparators, and registrars with limited experience in applied conservation practices.
Art Conservation de Rigueur - San Francisco Workshops
Program A
Preventative Conservation of Textiles and Historic Objects;
Collections Care, Handling, and Storage Techniques.
This seminar will focus on the basic principles of collections maintenance,
including environmental monitoring, integrated pest management, equipment,
and the quality of archival materials and supplies used for custom housing.

Program B
Mount Preparation and Object Support;
Custom Designed Display Techniques for Exhibiting Costume,
Textiles, and Historic Object Ephemera
This session will be a hands-on technical studio lab.
Custom support and mounts will be designed and fabricated for the rolling,
housing, hanging, and presentation of five example textiles and objects.
$195.
