Preservation Thursday: Battle of the Little Big Horn from a Lakota family

Donovin Sprague, author and instructor at BHSU, will discuss major events leading up to the Battle of the Little Bighorn, the 1876 battle and the role played by Sprague’s Lakota family members. A Powerpoint presentation will be used depicting maps, photos and primary source documents related to the topic. Sprague is an author of numerous books, several of which concentrate on the Sioux Nation on various reservations in South Dakota. These books and others will be available for purchase following the presentation. The public forum will be held at the Adams Museum, 12:00 p.m. Admission: Admission by donation |
