Portland Morris Marks house discussion 4/13
April 13, 2007 |
The PSU student Historic Preservation Club is sponsoring a discussion on the Morris Marks house. We will hear about its history from local historians, discuss its current at-risk situation, and brainstorm solutions.
Where: 2nd floor Gallery of the Urban Center, Portland State University
When: 1:00 pm on Friday, April 13th
Why you should come: The Morris Marks house is worth saving! It is one of the few examples of Portland's historic built environment that remains in the area. YOU might have an idea that could save this Italianate Victorian house built in 1880! The structure currently at 1134 SW 12th Ave is just North of the PSU Campus. The current owners want the structure relocated by this summer. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about Portland's history and get involved in a grassroots effort to save this architectural gem! Speakers include Clem Ogilby and William J. Hawkins.
ALL are welcome to attend. |
