Archaeology Camp at Historic Adams House

Children currently enrolled in grades 2-6 are invited to sign up for archaeology camp. Campers will conduct a real archaeological excavation led by professionals in the field, take daily hikes and have lessons on topics ranging in scope from historic preservation to mapping. Archaeology Camp is co-sponsored by the Adams Museum and the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission. Each session is five days in length; campers may sign up for only one session. Space is limited. Please contact Anne Rogers, museum educator, at 578-1928 for reservations. Meet at Historic Adams House 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily; $50 per camper, $85 for two campers in the same family; $40 for museum members. Scholarships available.
