Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) Annual Meeting
June 19, 2010 |
Join us at the Adirondack League Club on Saturday, June 19 for our 20th annual meeting. In addition to conducting AARCH business, we will honor our 10-year members, and AARCH Executive Director Steven Engelhart will give a brief talk on the progress of the new AARCH office building in Keeseville, and our plans for the mill complex. Our guest speaker, Ted Comstock, will present a talk, Adirondack League Club: An Overview, 1890 - 2010.
The Adirondack League Club was established in 1890 as a private landowners' organization, used mainly as a hunting and fishing club. The main clubhouse, completed in 1914, was designed by Augustus Shephard. This is a rare opportunity to visit this privately owned club and to tour the buildings and grounds. There will be two optional tours prior to the meeting led by Ted Comstock, beginning promptly at 11 a.m. and again at 12 p.m. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. and ends around 3 p.m. and is free to members and guests.
Registration for the Annual Meeting is mandatory, as each registered attendee will be checked in at the entrance; this is the policy of the Adirondack League Club. Your cooperation is appreciated. As with all of our events, unless otherwise noted, reservations are required by calling AARCH at: (518) 834-9328.
