Heritage Home Tour

July 31, 2010

Six fabulous homes on this new tour cover a century of residential construction in Portland and represent a variety of styles and notable architects.  The homes are spread around the Portland region including Northwest, Southwest, Mount Tabor, and Laurelhurst.

Featured architects are Edward Thompson Root, Ellis F. Lawrence, Herman Brookman, Marvin Witt Jr., Pietro Belluschi.  The houses date from 1885 to 1980 with two Arts & Crafts era houses and a Mid Century Modern in between.

Proceeds will benefit the Architectural Heritage Center/Bosco-Milligan Foundation and its education programs, advocacy efforts, and collection stewardship.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended, 503 231-7264 or go online to http://www.visitahc.org/content/heritage-home-tour-2010.

Sponsored by: Hammer and Hand

The Architectural Heritage Center is a non-profit resource center and showcase for historic preservation in the Portland metro area.  Owned and operated by the Bosco-Milligan Foundation, the AHC offers a wide range of education programs to help people appreciate, restore, and maintain vintage properties.  Since 1992, over 40,000 people have participated in our talks, home tours, workshops and gallery exhibits.
