Alabama Preservation Conference
October 7-9, 2010 |
This year’s annual conference promises to be exciting, educational and fun as people from across the state come together in Historic Downtown Montgomery to learn more about how preserving historic places makes life better.
Historic preservation is an essential asset for the revitalization of Alabama's small towns and downtowns. The 2010 preservation conference, in coordination with the Alabama Department of Tourism and Travel’s Year of Small Towns and Downtowns, will showcase historic redevelopment activity in Montgomery and other Alabama communities. Each uses preservation as a tool in creating a vital cultural, economic and tourism core for Alabama’s towns and cities as well as preserving and reclaiming historic neighborhoods in which to live.
