Cocktails at the Station: A Fundraiser for Knox Heritage

Knox Heritage presents the fundraising event Cocktails at the Station on Saturday, October 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the historic L&N Station in downtown Knoxville. The evening also featu...res silent and live auctions with unique offerings not found at any other charity fundraiser.
All proceeds benefit Knox Heritage. Tickets are $75.00 each and available by calling 523-8008 or online at www.knoxheritage.org. Cocktails at the Station is a festive evening in the elegant setting of the historic L&N Station. The ticket price includes a full buffet dinner and wine, and there will be a cash bar available. Attendees can take part in silent and live auctions, featuring dozens of items paying tribute to our region’s fine arts, history and culture, handcrafted treasures, local traditions, and pastimes. Here are just some of the auction highlights:
- “Bloody Mary Cemetery Tour” – A guided tour, with spirited refreshments, of Old Gray Cemetery features the history on some of the cemetery’s most famous occupants.
- Historic Trolley Tour – The winner chooses a historic neighborhood and invites eleven friends for a trolley ride and an in-depth look at architecture and history of the area, led by KH staff.
- 2011 Entertainment Package – An entire year’s worth of entertainment all for one winner: tickets to downtown Knoxville’s historic venues, most popular festivals, and certificates to favorite restaurants.
- “Wish You Were Here” – A walking tour of downtown Knoxville loosely based on historic postcards of the city, with stops at renovated condos with refreshments.• Artwork and handcrafted treasures from Brian Pittman, Cynthia Markert, Preston Farabow, Jessica Wiess, Beth Meadows, Brian Wagner, Tracey Hartley, & others.
