Providence Brigade Band Performs on the Lawn at Linden Place Mansion

Linden Place Mansion continues its concert series with a performance of The Providence Brigade Band. Consisting of musicians performing in the manner of Civil War period brass bands, their mission is to educate the public about the role and effect that brass bands and their music had on both soldiers and civilians during the Civil War through special emphasis on music of the American Civil War, as well as acts, anecdotes, and the legends of the songs and composers that are used to enhance the unique qualities of this musical genre and time period. Concertgoers are welcome to B.Y.O. P. (bring your own picnic), lawn chairs and blankets. |
