Preserving the Preservation Movement: Beginning the Process of Archiving
October 12, 2010 |
Visitors are invited to bring their personal archives (i.e. correspondence, photographs, paraphernalia, or other papers) that relate to the preservation of buildings and neighborhoods in New York City. Leading experts will be on hand to quickly evaluate the importance of these archives and stations will be set up to both scan the documents and attempt to capture some of these individuals' memories in a mini-oral history.
Co-sponsored by Neighborhood Preservation Center and The New York Preservation Archive Project, This program is part of New York Archives Week, sponsored by The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York.
