Bridging the Past: The Stone Bridges of Napa County - Reception with the Artist
October 22, 2010 |
Once dubbed the County of Stone Bridges, Napa County was home to more than 300 man-made stone bridges. Sadly, less than 90 of these bridges remain today. The Napa County Historical Society brings light to these magnificent structures in its latest exhibition Bridging the Past: The Stone Bridges of Napa County. Curated by Richie Lemos the exhibition features the Modern History series of photographs by Jess Knubis exploring some of Napa Valley’s most significant stone bridges and historic buildings. These evocative images, presented as true Chromogenic photographic prints, will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefi tting the Napa County Historical Society. Art from students of Stone Bridge School will also be on display. Sponsored by St. Helena Winery & Preservation Napa Valley.
