"Fostering Harmony" Community Conversation (CJ Hurley & Glenn Lamb)
November 4, 2010 |
Join us as painter CJ Hurley discusses the history of nature and symbolism in 20th century art and reveals the symbolism behind his piece "The Birth of Architecture: Unity of Nature and Mind."
And stay for Columbia Land Trust Director Glenn Lamb's talk on the history of architecture and historic preservation in the American west.
"Fostering Harmony: The Symbiotic Relationship of Architecture and Nature" is the theme of the AHC's annual juried art exhibit. Artists from around the northwest submitted painting, photography and sculpture that examine what happens when the natural world merges with the "built" one.
