Holiday Tea Time at the Goodman
December 5, 2010 |
In 1901 George Goodman built the Goodman Library and gave it to the City of Napa. The second floor was reserved for the library but the first floor was for entertainment. While the men were allowed in the billiards room, the women enjoyed a cup of tea in the Goodman Library Tea & Rest Room. Now you can experience the elegance and relaxation of a one-hour Victorian tea party at the Goodman Library. While enjoying tea sandwiches and delicate desserts, guest will learn about Victorian life with their costumed host. Guests are encouraged (not required) to dress in period clothing and hats.
