Chimney Rock in the Chacoan World Conference

An opportunity for the professional community, site interpreters, and interested public to discuss the significance of Chimney Rock and work to improve stewardship of this important resource.
Chimney Rock Interpretive Association with the USDA Forest Service invites the public and professtionsl to "Chimney Rock in the Chacoan World Conference." The conference focuses on the Ancestral Puebloan community of Chimney Rock, Colorado. The conference will feature 20 minute papers regarding archaeological research and archaeoastronomy at Chimney Rock, Chacoan Outliers, settlement patterns within the Northern San Juan Basin, management of the Chimney Rock Archaeological Area, and modern Puebloan perspectives on the area. All individuals interested in presenting papers at this conference are encouraged to submit an abstract. Registration and Presentation Submission Forms can be found on our website www.chimneyrockco.org. Abstracts are due by February 1, 2011.
