WILMINGTON, NC – The Bellamy Mansion once again presents The Art of the Table, which will kick off the Mansion’s 150th Anniversary Year Celebration. The event runs from March 10–13 and showcases the talents of local artists, designers, florists and hotels and event planners, who create stunning tablescapes and mantelscapes throughout the Mansion. The Art of the Table celebrates the history and presence of one of the most spectacular examples of antebellum architecture in North Carolina and provides an opportunity to help usher the Bellamy into another 150 years in the Wilmington community.
This premiere event begins Thursday, March 10, 6:00 p.m., with elegant Preview Nite Dinners at residences and restaurants throughout Wilmington’s historic district, followed by an Art of the Table Preview Party with champagne and dessert and tour at the Bellamy. Reservations are $75 per person. Meet the exhibitors, including celebrity designer, Raymond Waites.
Tea at the Bellamy takes place Friday, March 11 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Cost is $25 per person and includes admission to Art of the Table. At the Tea, Randy Trull will sign his new book, My Life Beyond the Fringe: A Journey into Design. Susan Taylor Block edited this colorful tale.
