This advanced seminar focuses on memoranda of agreement and programmatic agreements under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Learn how to survive and thrive during the agreement process through careful analysis, clear writing, and good negotiation. Review the available tools, guidelines, alternatives-and non-alternatives-to reach a favorable conclusion to the process.

Participants: Experienced practitioners of Section 106 review and/or veterans of an introductory seminar who need help in developing agreements.

Continuing Education Credits: ASLA members will receive 6 learning units each day for designated seminars that meet the criteria for programs in the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System.

Seminar Location, Hours, and Hotels: Confirmation of registration is sent out to registered participants one month prior to the seminar date. The confirmation includes the seminar location, hours, and a list of conveniently located hotels. Seminars generally are held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is recommended at least 6 weeks prior to the seminar to secure a place and to avoid cancellations due to low enrollment.

Cost: $600 (6-week advance registration); $650 (regular registration)

National NAGPRA Program scholarships may be available through NPI for this seminar.
