The Old Homes and Gardens Tour is a chance for visitors to Beaufort to explore historic homes, gardens, churches and public buildings throughout the town. Each private home on the tour features distinct traits, from classical architectural details, to whimsical adaptations of tradition.

Glorious Gardens are an integral part of our special tour. Guestsmay stroll through specially marked gardens and enjoy the plants, landscape designs, and histories of these privately owned gardens.

The weekend tour is taken at your own pace. Wander through the quaint streets of Beaufort and visit not only the homes and gardens on the tour, but also Beaufort’s Churches, the Old Burying Ground and the Beaufort Historic Site. Open houses at local Artists’ Studios, new to the tour this year, and Living History demonstrations give visitors another chance to discover what’sunique about Beaufort. A program including a map of Beaufort and a guide to all of the activities will be available at the SafritHistorical Center on the grounds of the Beaufort Historic Site as well as at all the private homes on tour. Photography is not permitted inside the houses and buildings.
