New jersey 2011 Historic Preservation Conference-Preservation Looks Forward

Register NOW for the 2011 Historic Preservation Conference Preservation Looks Forward Friday June 3, 2011 At the National Historic Landmark Woodrow Wilson Hall On the Monmouth University campus in West Long Branch You have until APRIL 30 to take advantage of the early registration rate of $65.  Student registration (with a valid ID) is $50. (Starting May 1, the regular registration rate is $85.) Register on line at http://www.state.nj.us/dca/preservationconference/registration.html.

The full-day conference includes 17 educational sessions and field workshops, breakfast and lunch, admission to the vendor exhibit area, and a post-conference reception.  The education program covers a variety of topics for history advocates, preservation professionals, historic preservation commission members, archaeologists, and municipal planners.  Selected sessions are eligible for AIA continuing education credits and AICP certificate maintenance credits.  Visit the web site for the latest information. Keynote Speaker Jeffrey G. Otteau, President of the Otteau Valuation Group, will discuss the impact of economic and demographic changes on preservation objectives and how our historic and cultural attractions can sustain themselves beyond the current economic downtown.

Our conference hosts are the: New Jersey Historic Trust, the Common Wealth of New Jersey, NJDEP – Historic Preservation Office, New Jersey Historical Commission and the County of Monmouth.
