Free public lecture: “The Cannons Liberated at Crown Point”
Presented by military historian Joseph M. Thatcher at 7:00 p.m. on the anniversary of the May 12, 1775 liberation (by the Green Mountain Boys militia led by Seth Warner) of more than 100 British-held artillery pieces at Crown Point.
With this special Historic Preservation Month program, Crown Point will jump-start the May 14 – 15, 2011 statewide Heritage Weekend observance.
