Los Angeles Conservancy "Downtown at Sunset" Summer Evening Tours

July 27, 2011

These tours will take place on Wednesday evenings from July 20 through August 24. Tours start at 5:30 p.m. and last approximately 1-3/4 hours.  Tours are $5 for Los Angeles Conservancy members and children 12 and under; $10 for the general public. Reservations are required as space is limited! 

Note:  These tours are 30 to 50 minutes shorter than our regular Saturday morning tours, and therefore may not cover everything listed on the tour description for the Saturday tour.

Art Deco highlights the architecture and ornamentation of buildings from the 1920s and ‘30s, featuring rich materials and classic geometric design.   (July 20)

City Hall explores the fascinating hisory and magnificent architecture of Los Angeles' great 1928 civic building. Includes a visit to the tower observation deck, subject to availability. (July 27, August 10 & 24) 

Modern Skyline explores the architecture and development of the Central Business District and Bunker Hill.  ( August 3)

Union Station offers an in-depth look at this iconic LA landmark: the last great railway station built in America.  (August 17)

Meeting locations vary.  Details will be automatically emailed with confirmation of ticket purchase.

Distance covered: About 1 mile total walking for each tour
Walking difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Wheelchair accessible: All tours above are wheelchair accessible, but please call the office to notify us in advance.
