Brigade Days
July 30 – August 1 9am – 6pm
Join HBC workers, Aboriginal traders, and trappers as they swap stories, play music, and show off traditional skills such as carding and spinning wool, making bullets, and open fire cooking. The weekend features a large period encampment, Beaver Tales Theatre performances on Sunday, and the “Arrival of the Fur Brigades” canoe re-enactment at 1 pm Monday. Stay for the free concert at 6 pm on Monday, August 1 featuring “Swing Patrol” and “Langley Community Music School Fiddlers.” Bring a picnic (or order one from our Full Barrel Café) and a chair or blanket and enjoy the show. NEW for 2011, enjoy free afternoon performances by the Scottish Country Dancers and a community Street Dance and BBQ featuring the band “Mid Life Crisis” from 7-11 pm on Saturday July 30 at the Fort Langley Community Hall.
Fort Langley NHS events: Regular admission, free for annual pass holders, and free general admission to the site on Monday, August 1.
