ARCH 215: History of Northwest Architecture

April 3 - June 14, 2012

LCPS members and the public are invited to register for “ARCH 215: History of Northwest Architecture.” Building historian and LCPS president John Goodenberger will teach the Spring term course. The class begins April 3rd at Clatsop Community College and will meet every Tuesday night from 6:00 – 8:50 PM.

Students will learn Pacific Northwest building types and their stylistic characteristics, the major periods of development in regional architecture, the historical development of materials and methods, and the development in response to political, social, environmental and economic influences.

This introductory class is open to all interested in architecture, history and construction. It also meets the Arts and Letters discipline requirement for the AAOT degree.
