Preservation Napa Valley and Napa Valley Museum announces
Memory Bank II: An Exhibition of Place and People.
This major photographic and film documentary project will open at Napa Valley Museum in Yountville, CA on Saturday, August 11 from 5:30p.m.-7:30 pm. The exhibition will run through Sunday, September 23.
Memory Bank II is Preservation Napa Valley’s 2012 community preservation project: an annual, intensive endeavor to celebrate and build awareness for the cultural heritage of Napa County. Gathering Old Timers from Calistoga, American Canyon, Wooden Valley, Napa, Rutherford, Yountville, and other county areas, six professional photographers and one filmmaker have captured the people and places during an era of great transition in Napa’s history.
What results is one of Napa’s most important arts and cultural exhibitions: an unprecedented chronicle of the generation who shaped the ongoing evolution of Napa...fromuntold pasts to a world famous wine region.
