Outdoor Folk Concert in the Gardens of Linden Place Mansion

September 9, 2012

Linden Place Museum will continue its 2012 concert series with a Sunday afternoon outdoor concert featuring the music of Windharp and Mystic Voyagers on September 9th at 2:00 PM in the historic sculpture and rose gardens of Linden Place.

Bring a blanket or chair and a picnic as you relax to the sounds of folk, Irish, Scottish and Celtic music, songs of the sea as well as 60’s & 70’s pop tunes, during the final warm days of summer.  Feel free to bring a picnic basket and your own wine or beverages.  In the case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Linden Place Ballroom.

Windharp is an eclectic group of musicians who have performed traditional and contemporary Celtic music on guitars, harp, mandolin, flute, whistles and bodhran for over twenty years.  The group also frequently sets aside their instruments to present soul-stirring, four-part a cappella renditions of Celtic songs.

The Mystic Voyagers folk trio features a unique blend of songs from Ireland & Scotland, Songs of the Sea, and popular songs from the 60’s & 70’s.  They have performed in the past at Bristol’s Concerts on the Common, Fat Belly’s Pub, Trinity Brewhouse & Barker’s Playhouse.

Tickets are $15, $10 for Linden Place members and free for Colt Circle Members. All ages are welcome.
