Gorge Inspirations
November 2 - December 7, 2012 |
The public is invited to join the Architectural Heritage Center in November and December for two months of art and education programs featuring the Historic Columbia River Gorge!
The “Gorge Inspirations” invitational art exhibit, and lecture series will unveil the beauty and hidden elements of the Historic Columbia River Gorge and Highway, sharing the vision of local artists about this unique geographic feature, and exploring the history of “the king of roads.” The exhibit encourages artists to express what inspires them about the landscape and history of the Gorge. On display will also be Clarence Mershon's collection of historic photos depicting the construction of the Historic Highway.
Opening Reception: Friday, November 2nd
Holiday Reception: Friday, December 7th, 6-8pm
All events are free and open to the public

- December 6 – Scott Cook and Lewis and Clark Professor Stephanie Arnold Gorge Stories for the Curious- 7:00 – 9:00pm
