Join architectural historian and color specialist Sally Zimmerman for a walking tour of the Federal and River Street Historic District. Learn how paint color and architectural style come together to add value and character to a neighborhood that has some of the oldest houses in Salem. Hear tips on simple ways to use period color to add curb appeal to your old house. Hannah Diozzi of Salem Strolls brings the history of the neighborhood to life. Zimmerman is senior manager of historic preservation services at Historic New England, where she runs the Historic Homeowner program.
