The Development of Slavery in Colonial British America

Join Cape Fear Community College lecturer Thomas Massey at the Bellamy Mansion Museum for an exploration of the African-American experience and the growth of the slave trade in our region.

Focusing on Virginia, the Caribbean, and North Carolina, Thomas will discuss the mid-Atlantic's role in a trade that spanned four centuries and forcibly moved over 10 million people.
