Antique Ramble and Historic House Tour

May 4, 2013

This is a new event. First time offered in the small Historic town Of Clarksville, MO. Clarksville is one of the only remaining towns with it's main street on the river, The Mighty Mississippi. Founded in 1817 and still going strong. Clarksville is the home of many antique shops and art galleries. It is also the home of The Historic 1845 Elgin/Cottrell House Museum. It has been featured in many national magazines and TV programs.

This May 4,2013, the antique shop owners along with the owner of the Elgin/Cottrell House Museum are hosting an Antique Ramble and Historic House Tour. The Ramble consists of 3 shops and other dealers set up in various places. Each shop and home will feature antique clothing and linens. The house tour will be highlighted by The 1845 Elgin/Cottrell house, a Victorian mansion done to the period, fully furnished and in great detail Houses a large collection of antique furniture, portraits and accessories. The other house featured is an 1840 stone cottage, restored by the Mayor of Clarksville.

There will be a $!0.00 charge for the two houses, but the rest of the event is free.  Several local food vendors and churches will offer local food choices at reasonable prices. We welcome you all. Call Richard, 573-242-9688 or check us out at www.clarksvillemo.us.
