Restore Michiana 2013 Lecture and Workshop Series

The Restore Michiana partnership of Indiana Landmarks and Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend & St. Joseph County is pleased to invite you to attend Restore Michiana 2013 Lecture and Workshop Series, seven informative workshops on how to restore and improve interior and exterior elements around the house. The workshops begin on April 6, 2013 and end on October 12, 2013 and will cover topics from choosing and planting traditional landscaping to methods used to restore wood flooring finishes.Location: William Kizer House at 803 W. Washington St., South Bend, Indiana 46601
Schedule:
- April 6 - Landscaping: Lecture and demonstrations 9am-12pm
- May 8 - House Detectives/Restoration Process: Lecture 6-8pm
- June 8 - Plaster Walls: Lecture 9am-12pm and hands-on module 1pm-3pm
- July 10 - Masonry: Lecture 6-8pm
- August 10 - Windows: Hands-on module 9am-3pm
- September 11 - Paint: Lecture 6-8pm
- October 12 - Wood Floors: Lecture 9am-12pm and hands-on module 1pm-3pm
Registration: Lectures cost $5 for Indiana Landmarks members and $10 for the general public. Hands-on modules are an additional $15. Cost to attend all talks and participate in hands-on modules is $75 for Indiana Landmarks members and $125 for the general public. Lunch will be included with all hands-on modules.
