Popular, celebrated Barbershop Quartet, Generations, to perform at Linden Place Mansion
April 4, 2013 |
Named the “Busiest Barbershop Quartet in New England,” Generations Barbershop Quartet will fill Linden Place Mansion with their four piece harmonies as part of the mansion’s highly anticipated Spring Concert Series.
The performance will take place on Sunday, April 28th at 2 p.m., inside Linden Place’s mansion parlors. The show will feature sing-a-longs, narratives about their songs and a selection of special numbers in the mansion’s conservatory, which once served as the town barbershop in the 1860’s.
With a combined 150 years of singing experience, Generations Barbershop Quartet has over 40 songs in their musical repertoire, spanning from the 1890’s to 1970’s. Members Bill While, Steve Isherwood, Ellis Strange and Gil Corte have performed at locations all over the northeast, from Fenway Park to the Wang Center, and in November 2013, at the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Tickets are $15, $10 for Linden Place members and free for Colt Circle members. Reservations are recommended. For more information or to reserve tickets, please call the Linden Place office at 401-253-0390 or e-mail us at info@lindenplace.org.
