Growing in the Garden: “Look Up, Look Down, Autumn Colors All Around”
July 19, 2013 |
Macculloch Hall Historical Museum presents its hands-on program for preschool-age children “Growing in the Garden” this October. This program meets twice a month on Tuesday afternoons, to visit the garden at Macculloch Hall and explore environmental topics through a story, walk in the garden and art projects.
Red, orange, yellow—the colors of autumn are all around the garden at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum. Join in the fun on Tuesday, October 15 from 1:15 to 2 p.m. when children ages 3 - 5 years old play leaf games in the garden and learn what happens inside the trees to cause the leaves to change color. In addition to visiting the garden, children will hear a story about autumn leaves, and trace and create an autumn color collage to take home.
